Huntington’s Disease is an autosomal dominant disorder, as stated in Mayo Clinic, the person only needs one copy of the gene, and is caused by an inherited defect by a single gene. (“Huntington’s Disease”) Parents who decide to have children, can either pass down the healthy copy of their gene, or the defective copy if one of the parent’s are affected.
